My photo
This blog is the magazine devoted to design focusing on floral. Most designs featured are from SouthWest regional chapter AIFD designers. Some High profiled national and international designers will also be featured from time to time in addition to art and artists from other mediums. Also fantastic gardens and interesting stores are visited. This is the Chapter's public and floral industry outreach project. A bimonthly digital magazine is emailed to all subcribers. The blog site will feature an extension of each issue with extra articles, and pictures. Enjoy

Structured Statements

Floral art piece created for a show that featured Oasis products and was demonstrating bind wire used in a different way.  This design was inspired by Gregor Lersch

Another design from the same Oasis show featuring water tubes.  They were placed in a drilled out log and grasses, oncidiums, viburnum berries and galax rosettes were used.  Each spray was connected with flexi grass to be used as an armature.

Museum party, this piece was one of 3 made for the opening gala for the Democratic Nation Convention which was held in the Denver Art Museum in 2008.  The 3 pieces were lined up on cubes against a white wall, the shows one of the 3 to show the detail

First place winning bridal bouquet from 2011 FAR Bridal Bouquet Competition.  It was called "Belle's Rose"  in an interpretation of the rose from Beauty and the Beast.  The framework is made completely of mega wire, double twist wire, spool wire, angel hair wire, and treated with parafin.  The duchess rose was made from freedom roses and glued in.
